Adipored Stained 3T3L1 Adipocytes
We differentiated 3T3L1 cells into adipocytes and then stained the cells with adipored and DAPI. Epifluorescence images were taken at 40X using FITC (green) and DAPI (blue) channels. These images were merged with a phase contrast image to give a pseudo-3D quality. Notice that we captured a dividing 3T3L1 adipocyte (bottom right)! This experiment served as a positive control for our experiments assaying the distribution of lipid droplets in skeletal myocytes.
